Korean vs Singlish
Our Korean lesson is getting tougher each time
Korean is really an interesting yet tough and confusing language
(1) They have words which are not pronounced as what they're supposed to be pronounced as
Reason: koreans find it easier to pronounce the other way

(2) They use our for wife, husband, bf, gf, house, father
e.g. our husband (instead of MY husband), our boyfriend (instead of MY boyfriend - we share the same bf eh?)

(3) Some words are omitted in colloquial form (oral) but it MUST be used in writing
----------------------------------------------------------------
(4) Some words can be used in colloquial but not in writing
those are some examples out of many....
And Eng Teck was saying that we should have Singlish 101 and we started discussing
(1) how & when to use leh, lo, la. hoh, huh, alamak, wa piang, uperden, han noh
----------------------------------------------------------------
(2) intonation of each words must be accurate - hoh (tone going down) and hoh? (tone going up)
similar to korean eh?

(3) Some words are pronounced differently in colloquial and writing
e.g. we write relax one corner, but when we used in colloquial, we say relac one corner
the x becomes c coz we are too lazy to pronounce it properly

(4) Some words are omitted in colloquial form (oral) but it MUST be used in writing
e.g. where u go? --> where ARE you goING

(5)Some words can be used in colloquial but not in writing
e.g. Come with us leh --> Come with us (we drop the leh in writing)
Okie la..... some forms of korean language is quite similar to our Singlish
