Will be staying at home tml too~!! Every first day of chinese new year, we'll be visiting grandma in Kallang... however, she is now staying at a my-family-is-not-on-good-term-with him uncle's house so.... arghh.... Chinese New Year is becoming meaningless to me as years go by. I have so few relatives to visit because relatives of my father's side are in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and America.

I've unknowingly and not-looking-forwardly entered into the 4th week of skool term....Time really flies and i haven't been doing much work this few weeks.

Missing lessons (i've missed 5) and slacking were the things done these weeks.

Went shopping with janice today with the purpose to get her clothes for chinese new year... Had lunch at Food Republic before starting our retail therapy and coincidentally, we met zhenhui at the food court.

20th January 2006 = SMU's Grand Opening Ceremony!

The performances were great! Can u imagine a combi of lion dance, indian dance, malay instruments, malay taekwondo (duno what is it called), the symphonic band, etc? the combi turned out to be sooooo wonderful! I'm really proud to be a student in SMU or i should say i'm really proud of those performancers. Right miss seow? The ceremony was of picnic style and we receive mats as our goodies bag... although expected them to be something much better, i thought they were good enough as we can bring them along when we go sentosa. haha

We, the 11 piggies, had our reunion dinner 2006 on 20th Jan 2006 (Fri) too! Had Steamboat dinner at 'Tian Tian Huo Guo' (translation? everyday steamboat?) As usual, we were so noisy and took lotsa photos...haha I felt so loved that day because I did not even need to get my own food. Dearest piggies were always cooking and giving them to me coz they knew i will be in pain if i move around too much... So SWEET of them (.!_!.)v Anyway, we were the last customers to leave and we headed to TCC for drinks after that. haiz....how long more can we meet up so often? Everyone is getting busier each year: busy working, busy studying and busy flying from countries to countries....Nevertheless, I believe our friendship will remain as strong as ever till we aged. Right, piggies?! Pictures will be uploaded when i get them. heez...

I hate going back to the clinic!!!

Missed my lessons and sports cardio today (as in 19th jan).... heard from miss seow, sports cardio was fun. boohoohoo~~~~Think i'm gonna miss my mpw lesson again tml if i am still unable to walk without pain. I din know walking can be such a difficult task to do. I walk slower than an old lady la! am so lousy...

reason: had a minor operation...sob sob it was so painful. Doc asked me to go back to have my dressing changed for the next couple of days.

Anyway, SMU's grand opening ceremony will be held tomorrow therefore i hope i'll be able to attend the ceremony and most imptly the reunion dinner with piggies.. I dun wanna miss out the fun!

A wanna say a big THANK YOU to siew ling and serene for getting my books from the various lockers and helping me with the assignment which must be handed in on Sat. Not forgetting Serena who is such a sweetie to offer me her stats assignment to check my answers and laura too. Lastly, thanks to everyone who cares... (.!_!.)v Muacks!

Finally i bought my new handphone!!!
Can't stand my old phone: Sony Ericsson T610. (a very old phone eh?) i suspect there's a ghost staying inside heez... coz it kept scrolling up and down and even sideways without my help.

Anyway, i bought N70 at $398 yesterday....cheap eh? There's another customer buying N70 & we were told that if we pay together, we could get $200 discount. ain't I lucky? The phone was supposed to be $688 but now i got it for only $398. Took up the student plan (1000 sms free and $19.90 per month etc). Hehehehe, sometimes it feels really good to be a student.

Another week has ended, and i'm gonna be very busy this week.....

LTB meetings, LTB presentation, SMU grand opening, Reunion dinner, deadlines for Comm and Stats assignments, helping the koreans with their homework for 3 days, first lesson of tuition for my new students, first lesson of sports cardio.... so busy....haha

Lesson currently attending: Statistics B

I have always dreaded attending statistics lessons since i was in poly.... I have never done well for this subject!

Thursdays are long days for me... i have lesson from 0830 to 1845hrs with 5.5 hours break. Wonder who is the 'kind' soul who planned our timetable!~ what a good planner that person is. Anyway, i spent the 5.5 hours break with my classmates hanging around in Plaza Singapura. Went for a movie: In Her Shoes and this shows lasted for 2 and a half hours! The show started at 1pm and we expected the show to last for 1 hour plus so we'll be in time for our lesson at 3.30pm. However, we were wrong... the show ended at the time our lesson starts.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I'm going crazy!!!!!!! I hate it!!!!! i really can't understand what my dear prof is talking about! think i'll better stop here and pay full attention to him or at least act as if i'm paying attention to him. haha! half an hour to our break! tata....

Everyone enjoyed your holiday despite the rain?

How much longer will the rain last? Although i hate being under the sun (coz i hate getting black or a better word for it, tanned), i sort of miss the big yellow friend up there~ yoohoooo are you there? okie enough of my lameness. I can't stand myself getting wet whenever i go out, hate carrying the umbrella with me even tho it isn't heavy at all, and hate the freaking coldness~ To make things worse, my sis-in-law is trying to reduce our electrical bills and she thinks that our heater is the main culprit which contributed mainly to the reason for an increase in our electrical bills so she off it every night. I have always forgetten to on the heater before taking my shower and i had to wait in the bathroom for at least 15 minutes for hot water even if i on it (that always happen early in the morning at 6.30 coz all my lessons start at 8.30a.m.) Arghhhhhhhh.............. can't believe i'm defeated by that small little thinggie~

Anyway, hope the rain will stop soon. But, i dun mind having rainy day once in a week... heez...

It had been raining almost the whole day~!

I participated in an event organised by YMCA collaborating with ChunCheon YMCA & Hallym University of Korea to guide the korean students in completing some sort of 'treasure hunt' this whole afternoon. Their main objectives are: to improve on their English language and learn more about Singapore. However, the event could have been more fun if not due to the lousy weather.... Anyway, i realised i've never been to many places in Singapore even tho i'm a SINGAPOREAN! felt so 'ku ku'. haha~

After the event, SQ and I went for a preview screening of the heart-warming French drama "Le Grand Voyage" (a movie in French & Arabic). This movie takes us into the hearts of two travelers on a journey where the son drives his father 3000 miles for his pilgrimage's to Mecca. Not a bad show...

Help the patients in Ren Ci Hospital!!!

It's raining really heavily and Ming Yi Fa Shi is performing his dangerous act to attract more people to donate. Why can't people just donate out of their own will at anytime? Why do people always call the donation hotline only after they see people doing all the dangerous acts?

If you have the ability to help those in need, please help in whatever ways you can~ you will never know when you'll need help from others.

After the KNF fraud case, I know Singaporeans are more cautious in making donations. However, this Ren Ci charity show should be supported! I remembered visiting Ren Ci Hospital 5 years ago and found out that as a 'buddhism hospital', it also takes in people from different religions. And if a patient is unable to pay for the medical fees to Ren Ci hospital, they needn't pay a single cent. NOT A SINGLE CENT! So people out there! PLEASE DONATE!! DO NOT ASSOCIATE REN CI HOSPITAL WITH NKF! THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT ORGANISATIONS!!!

I like the way my brother plan to donate to REN CI HOSPITAL. I wanted to call the hotline but bro said that he'll write a cheque to the organisation instead. Reason? If we call the hotline, SINGTEL will charge Ren Ci for each call people made, which means that it will not be receiving the full amount.

I really admire Ming Yi Fa Shi! Without him, Ren Ci will not be able to survive so far i think. He is a uni graduate, rich and the only child in his family and yet he decided to give up on what he has to help the patients. He's great...

CALL NOW! Even if you are not a buddhist, you should call too! It doesn't matter what religion, race and where you are from. You are helping people so these factors do not matter at all!

It seemed like time was put on a treadmill and someone had been increasing the speed of the treadmill! First week of 2nd term passed without me knowing what i've actually done!

I was supposed to meet ms seow and jayne to visit our gym today...
However, i overslept and decided to give it a miss this time round since i've signed up for Sports Cadio which will be held every thursday...hehehe what a i'm-just-lazy-but-trying-to-find-excuses-for-missing-the-visit-to-the-gym reason.

Anyway, i'm proud of ms seow whom i'll never associate her with the word, GYM. She was on the treadmill for 20 minutes, she cycled, she has done clutches (wrong spelling?) etc....hmm...Way to go, suzi!~ haha

Went shopping with ms seow to look for new year clothes after she finished exercising.

Everywhere is having sales and there aren't any nice clothes to buy due to the fact that most shops are trying to clear their old stocks.
i managed to buy a new watch, a pair of sandals, a jacket, and a skirt but i still need new tops!

After our retail therapy, we went for our bitching session in the same old place...(where else?Tampines Mall). We had a new 'member' today as Mabeline brought her bf (Wee Leong) to introduce him to the group as most of them haven't met him yet.
As usual, not knowing where to go after our dinner, we remained in foodcourt till it closed. Went starbucks to continue our bitching session after that and finally went home at 11.45p.m.

Haiz...I'm having my first meeting for Comms tml to prepare for my presentation on Monday. It is only the 2nd week and i am having my first presentation~ arghhh......
