Advanced Happy Valentine's Day!
May all couples stay as loving as ever! Treasure each other dearly eh!
For those who are single like this person writing this entry, erm... okie--> me, may you find your happiness aka ur another half soon!
V-day is here again and without fail, on every Feb 14, the streets, restaurants and shopping centres will be filled with couples with gifts, balloons and flowers in their hands. Hence, i'll be hiding at home to avoid those sights! waahha!!!! nah!! i'm not indulging in self-pity! Actually those are really some sweet sights to see (i really meant it~). Btw who says singles can't celebrate V-day? We do get gifts too, am i right miss seow? haha~
I just read xiaxue's blog and i sortta agree with what she wrote in relations to V-day. She mentioned that some girls do not like flowers but they still expect their bfs to buy them flowers, (of course the larger the bouquet, the better! 999roses are the best! -- ok ok that was added by me), in order to save their 'faces'. Girls just feel 'ouch' to see others holding a bouquet of flowers but they themselves aren't. We are strange creatures aren't we, ladies? or should i say we get green-eyed easily or some of us are just too demanding? hmm...
So how are you celebrating your V-day? candlelight dinner? movie? walking hands in hands on the beach after dinner? erm.... opps i couldn't think of others. Maybe i should write a book on how singaporean guys celebrate V-day with their gfs eh? interesting but then again, i am afraid i couldn't even fill up all 20 pages. Most singaporean guys aren't that romantic, are they? (take note! i said MOST not all *to not make that a hasty generalisation sentence*). Some may be thinking, why should couples be sweet to each other, buy gifts, and treasure the time spent together only on v-day? yeah, why should they? Everyday should be spent like a V-day for couples! But wouldn't you admit that you will want to celebrate v-day if you are attached? heez... humans are so ironic~
btw i'll like to share how koreans celebrate V-day with you who is reading still reading up to this point. On 14 Feb, Korean ladies will buy chocolates for the guys they like and on 14 Mar (White Day), if the guy likes you, they will buy candies for you in return. Besides that, they have the Black Day too. On 14 Apr, singles and ladies who did not receive any candies from the guys they like, will get together and celebrate the black day by eating 'ja jiang mian' (a type of black sauce noodles). Cute culture eh? (okie, where can i get my 'ja jiang mian'? wahah!!!)
Okie okie enough of my nonsense! Today's Patron's Day for SMU and President Nathan will be visiting our skool. However, i am unable to stay back till his arrival due to the need to study for my quizzes! In the afternoon, my Accounting and Finance course manager and director of Temasek Poly business school came to visit SMU today and I was invited to an interactive session. I was the only student who could make it and yah, had to share my experience in SMU and how TP well has equipped me for uni life etc. i have always wanted to find out how many of us from TP came to SMU and to my surprise, there are only 6 of us in SMU's accountancy school and i am the one and only one from my batch....
Oh my god! what a long post today~ i shall stop here then. i'm supposed to be studying for my stats mid-term exam! haha! Enjoy ur V-day! Tata...
