Finally i'm here to blog on Busan before i leave for Jeju tml. hehe...
I've procrastinated for 3 weeks!
Okok here they are....
We took the fastest train ride, KTX, to Busan and below is the route
Seoul Station
Before leaving Seoul, we went to get some gifts for Nari & family
Got them seaweeds, juice (korean give juices when they visit homes), and some fruits
While waiting for our boarding time, we took all these pics
I was so excited as it was my first time taking a train.
Thanks to Nari, we got seats with a table
I think the ajoshi(s) on the train were irritated by us coz we nv stop eating ever since we board the train.

Some sceneries we saw in the train...

Finally, we reached Busan and we were greeted by Nari, my penpal, and her brotherFYI, i knew Nari online about 3 years back. So we are 'pen'pals or mailpals
Nari and her sister, Seri, visited me in year 2005
And in year 2007, we met again, but this time in Korea.
Following are the pics of their rooms and the sumptuous dinner their mum cooked for us
I would say they are really rich man!
They have 4 cars in all and live in this 3 story apartment.
Level 1 - Seri's apartment
Level 2 - parents' room, living room and kitchen
Level 3 - seri & bro's rooms
and... u should have seen their living room... surrounded by telephones!!
i bet they have more than 10 phones there.
Day 1
After dinner, Nari and his bro brought us out for shopping
And we were fascinated by the printing machine for handphones with disney characters as the frame.
We each got ourselves one.

Okie here is their apartment and Seri's drawing.Seri is teaching drawing and her paintings are real nice!

Day 2
Breakfast was a huge serving.
We had RICE (A BIG BOWL) and bulgogi (bbq beef) for breakfast
OW and I almost stuffed ourselves to death coz it is rude to not finish our rice in Korea
So poor us, we had to finish every single grain of rice in our bowl
After breakfast, Seri drove us to Nurimaru where APEC 2005 were held and leaders attended.
There was a marathon held on that day and the koreans mistook ET as one of their photographers and posed for him.
Next, we were brought to Haeundae Beach.
It is really beautiful.
I love beaches but we only stayed for a little while due to the coldness.
Btw, while OW and i were taking pics, there was this uncle who stood behind us to get involved in the pics.
Spoilt our photos... haha

After sending us to Haeundae Beach, Seri left to meet her soon-to-be boyfriend and Nari came to meet us after her lesson. She brought us to Jalgachi Market, a must-see place when u visit Busan.
Initially, ET wanted to have sashimi but it was kinda dirty and all... so we din try any.
There were lotsa strange sea creatures on sale in the market.
Opposite the market is the origin of the Pusan International Film Festival.
And i saw these really cute puppies

At night, we went to meet up with our fellow SMU school mates who are on exchange in Pusan University. (4 out of 5 of them came to meet us and brought us to this nice shop for dinner)
And then... we went shopping!!
How come all of them have these happening shopping streets near their school except for us?!
*fyi again, initially, i chose Pusan, but was advised to change so i chose KU in the end*

Day 3
The day we left Busan, we prepared breakfast for the family.
ET taught us how to do these.
Golden mushroom wrapped with bacon.
They taste delicious!!! i will cook these again when i'm back in singapore
Anyone dares try my cooking?
I'm sure my boy would give me face if i really cook one day eh? right? right? right?

Okie about 2 hours after breakfast, we had our lunch....This time, OW and I asked for lesser rice. *phew*
I really love their fireplace.
Sweet Nari and bro drove us to the train station after lunch and.... we left...
I'll miss those days in Busan.
Thanks to Nari & family for hosting us.
I really hope we din give them too much trouble.
Thanks to seri for giving up her room for us to sleep for the two nights.
Last but not least, A BIG THANK U to their mother who made us all the delicious food!!!!
Kamsahamnida Ahzuma!
