A day at Children's Aid Society
Was there today for our LTB community service project.
Most of the kids of the home went home on weekends so we are left with 7 of them today although we expected about 17.
We played games, taught them how to make cookies, made card for someone they appreciate and wrapped the cookies as a gift to go along with the card. From today's experience, there is only one word that i could use to describe the children in the home -uncontrollable. It was quite chaotic at first when we started on our ice-breaking games. They wanted us to go along with what they wanna play and things like that. It really made most of us boil when they do not listen to our instructions and showing us their temper. Although i like kids alot, but they are really *cough cough* nevertheless, i thought we did quite a good job today... Well done Extremeliciusly -Us!
oh... fyi, we will be handling 30 kids tml. I am PRAYING REAL HARD that everything will go well tml coz 7 is already a headache, needless to say 30.
Below are some pictures taken during our filming of a short video to educate the kids that they should overcome peer influence to smoke and steal and to convey a message - not to play with fire in the home.
We were supposed to as students so we were back in our secondary skool and jc's uniform. Aww...really missed those days in greenview sec.
